Hello
Had the good fortune to read all of Smith's work. We are
planning a Poetry Slam in March 2011 in SC. It is one of
the activities at our Third Peace Conference. Smith's books
are a valuable resource. He's also a first class poet and performer who knows his way around a stage. Look forward
to his next book.

The book is fab. Haven't quite finished, but I'm loving it! It's really helpful and practical and it's made me think a lot about what works and what doesn't, and why. I love the conversational style, it makes it so easy to read. The slam poetry scene is pretty small in Australia, so it's been awesome to read about its birthplace in Chicago and how big it is in the US.
If anyone is reading this and would like to watch some of my work, please do so, and leave feedback if you can!
